Lou Ferrigno (born Louis Jude Ferrigno to an Italian family on November 9, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, USA) is an American bodybuilder and actor. Ferrigno has appeared inside such television shows and movies as The Incredible Hulk, Pumping Iron — with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu — Sinbad of the Seven Seas, and Hercules.
He began step by step videos at Thirteen & won his number 1 major title, NABBA Mr. Universe, in 1972 becoming the youngest ever winner at 21. He so went in to win the IFBB Mr. Universe in 1973. Around 1974 his first attempt at Mr. Olympia saw him come 3rd. In the next season he over again come Tertiary & his attempt to beat Arnold Schwarzenegger was the subject of the 1977 docu-film Pumping Iron. As punishment this Ferrigno out from either muscle building competition for numbers of years. At his peak Lou, at height Hexad foot Little phoebe within (One.95 m), weighed inside at 275 pound (125 kilogram) & was a big agent muscle-builder at that period.
In the early 1990s, Lou made the link to to bodybuilding - competing in the 1992 and 1993 Mr. Olympia. Getting finished Twelfth & 10th repectively, he so turned to the Olympia Masters - coming 2nd inside 1994 to Robby Robinson. Fallowing this he permanetly retired from either competitory musclebuilding.
Ferrigno has been 80% indifferent since a age of triplet when an ear infection. He understands his loss of hearing when influential towards muscle building & his life: "...if I hadn't lost some of my hearing, I wouldn't be where I am now. It forced me to maximize my own potential. I had to be better than the average person to succeed."
In May 30, 1980 he married Carla Green who so became his manager. Carlthe is at present a personal trainer. It use at times threesome toddlers, Shanna, Louis, & Brent goose. In the summertime of 2005, Shanna starred in the E! reality TV series, Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive.
Lou currently plays himself when you took his guest appearances on the CBS show, The King of Queens.
